Trossard broke the deadlock just before halftime following a rough first half, with Wolves defender Santiago Bueno sliding the ball into his path while attempting to dispossess Gabriel Jesus, and the Belgian smashed it into the net off the right-hand post.

After being knocked out of the Champions League in the last eight by Bayern Munich in midweek, Arsenal dominated the second half, but it took until the fifth minute of stoppage time for them to score again, through Odegaard.
